Technology Consulting & Advisory

Technology strategy.
Without the sales pitch.

Independent IT and digital technology advisory for organizations facing complex decisions. I help leaders define the real problem, evaluate options, and build a practical path forward before committing significant time or money.

Where I Help

Independent judgment when the decision matters.

Technology Strategy & Modernization

Roadmaps, investment priorities, modernization planning, technical decision support, and practical sequencing.

Infrastructure & Architecture

Architecture reviews, resiliency, hybrid infrastructure decisions, technical debt, and platform strategy.

Secure & Regulated Environments

Technology strategy for organizations operating under demanding security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

IT Operations & Organizational Effectiveness

Service ownership, operating models, process maturity, automation, accountability, and organizational design.

Independent Technology Review

Vendor proposals, architecture decisions, major purchases, troubled projects, and solution alternatives.

Program & Project Recovery

Independent assessment of initiatives that are stalled, overcomplicated, or failing to produce the intended outcome.

Engagements

Start with the problem, not a contract.

Strategy Session

A focused working session around one technology decision, architecture problem, modernization challenge, or stalled initiative.

Technology Assessment

A structured review of an environment, architecture, project, proposal, or operating model with findings and recommended actions.

Advisory Engagement

Ongoing involvement where a leader or team needs experienced outside perspective through a larger decision or transformation.

I’ve spent my career being the person who has to live with technology decisions after the consultants leave.
How It Works

Practical from the first conversation.

1. Define the problem

What are you trying to accomplish, what is getting in the way, and what decision needs to be made?

2. Set the scope

We agree on what needs review, who needs involvement, and what a useful outcome looks like.

3. Work the problem

I challenge assumptions, examine constraints and alternatives, and separate the underlying problem from the proposed solution.

4. Leave with a path forward

The output is decisions, priorities, risks, tradeoffs, and next steps—not a deck designed to create more consulting work.

Start a Conversation

What are you working through?

Give me enough context to understand the problem. No sales funnel and no long intake form—just a starting point for a conversation.
